The prototype development process is a specialty of Best Metal Products.  A dedicated team
of engineers and technicians make it their mission to identify and select the best-available materials,
seals, manufacturing techniques and technologies for creating high-quality prototypes with the
shortest lead times.

Prototype development generally begins under three different scenarios:

• Our OEM customer wants us to improve on an existing design.
• Our OEM customer is developing a new product and knows specifically the
  parameters he or she wants us to fill.
• Our OEM customer is developing a new product and needs help determining
  what the parameters are that need to be filled.

Best Metal prototypes begin with original drawings rendered in 3D SolidWorks. 
These drawings address the specific challenges of the work environment, including the basic
parameters of the application, load holding requirements, cushioning requirements, special material
or sealing requirements, and paint finish requirements.  After a design discussion, a final rendering
is produced and quoted. Upon customer approval, fast-track fabrication follows; cylinders are
hydraulically tested and dimensionally inspected, and sent to the customer for field evaluation.
